The Petition
This was a petition that was signed by Students, Alumni and those in opposition to George W Bush attending at event to raise funds for Tyndale University. The event was cancelled. The petition is now closed.
120 people signed it, 85 confirmed their signature and 10 people or so have asked to be taken off of it.

Students, Alumni and Donors of Tyndale University College & Seminary wish to express their extreme disappointment with Tyndale or their seemingly secretive and elitist method of generating new money for the school under the guise of an “invite only” lecture on “the value of Christian education.” If our education taught us anything it was to always think critically while taking the words of Scripture seriously. We expected those who taught us these values to do the same.
Our hope is that Tyndale withdraw completely from participating in this event and that Tyndale refuse to accept any money raised directly or indirectly from this event.
Short of that, we hope for a full apology from the President Dr. Gary Nelson, Tyndale board members and previous Tyndale Presidents connected with this event. We believe that no amount of new money can justify profiting from a former figurehead whose policies led to the murder of thousands of innocent civilians while invoking the name of Jesus. This is unacceptable.
